Everyone knows that June is HOT and humid. Especially in June. However, as Walt Disney World Annual Passholders who live within driving distance of the parks, we love to try to go at least once a month if we can squeeze it in!

With 3 kids, we love to try to find ways to stay cool while there!

It may be mid-day pool breaks, making late lunch reservations so that we can sit down in some AC while eating, or even watching shows that are indoors such as Frozen Sing Along or Mickey’s PhillarMagic!

Hollywood Studios Show: Frozen Sing Along

Frozen Sing Along is a great spot to cool off!

However, we found some amazing small fans we purchased for this trip that we highly recommend and they easily clip on bags or belts: LINK HERE

Our favorite fan for the summer heat!

We are a rope drop family. We stay on property so we can get in the parks at early entry and even though it is still hot, it’s cooler and usually we can knock out several rides early on when its hot, and then take it easy until it cools back off (IF it does).

Early entry is cooler

Early entry is typically less busy and cooler mornings!

Sometimes the summer storms actually bring in a little bit of cooler weather or clouds that help cover the sun..

Some things to note… Pack sunscreen. It’s much cheaper to bring it or InstaCart it to your room than buying it in the parks. Pack water bottles, there are plenty of refill stations OR ask for free cups of ice water anywhere that has ice stations.

Pool break at Walt Disney World

Pool Breaks are a great mid-stay way to stay cool!

Thankfully, we also get a breeze walking in stores or standing in some lines as well.

Another thing to pack would be misting fans or cooling towels. Those are both available at the park, however, those 2 items are also cheaper to buy ahead of time.

We are from the south, so we are use to heat and humidity, however, we still make sure that we’re drinking plenty of water and cooling off any chance we can while still enjoying one of our favorite vacation getaways!
